Senior Picnic
The annual Senior Picnic & Fun Fest will be held on June 25th, 2008 at Broome Community College.
The picnic was a fun filled day of many activities which included:
- Music by the very popular Cobblestone Crossings in the morning.
- Entertainment by the Amazing Improv Dads in the afternoon
- Live Cooking Demo with delicious food samples
- Bingo
- Expanded Game Area
- Craft Sales and bead making
- Senior Information tents
- Senior Picnic T- shirt sales
- Campus tours on the trolley
- Presentation on the history of the college by Doug Gardner
- *New* in 2008 an Interactive Drum Circle
- And many others!
The senior information tents are open for seniors to gain valuable information on senior services and products. An exciting aspect of the picnic is that lunch is served between 12:00 and 1:30 p.m. you can enjoy all of the fun activities and when you’re ready, you can eat anytime between noon and 1:30 p.m. Lunch is a delicious Rotisserie Chicken, plus all the picnic fixings. Advance meal tickets are required and are available to be conveniently picked up at any local Senior Center. Limited bus transportation is provided from designated Senior Center.
